Aaron Caro-Mata PT, DPT, OCS, SCS

Aaron Caro-Mata PT, DPT, OCS, SCS
Dr. Caro-Mata graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University – San Marcos. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from The Evidence In Motion Institute of Health Professions, where he also completed the Sports Residency Program. He obtained Board Certification in Sports (SCS) and Board Certification in Orthopedics (OCS). Aaron is a clinical leader, who also teaches and mentors doctoral interns and orthopedic and sports residents.
Aaron enjoys working with athletes of all levels, from recreational leagues to competitive teams. He believes sports teach the importance of commitment, sacrifice, teamwork and determination – all of which are the foundation of a good athlete and teach lessons that carry over to life outside of sports.
Aaron believes that the most important aspect of his role as a health care professional is to empower patients by providing the tools they need to improve their quality of life.

Physical TherapistDr. Ian Koziatek earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology as a student athlete from Hope College part of the football team all four years. Continuing his education, became a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) before attending Andrew’s University and receiving his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2022.
Ian has chosen to undergo the Orthopedic Residency Program through Evidence in Motion to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) to challenge the status quo defining rehabilitative care. Ian strives to inspire his patients to pursue health and wellness and believes, with musculoskeletal issues, movement is truly the best medicine.
Ian was born and raised in West Michigan and in his free time, enjoys outdoor activities like swimming, hiking, and camping, but also enjoys watching sports, working out, and trying new foods. Ian is eager to help you along your road to recovery and enjoys hearing fitness journeys or your current fitness goals.

Lynsey Mitchell PT, DPT, OCS

Lynsey Mitchell PT, DPT, OCS
Lynsey Mitchell earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Baylor University. Prior to that, Lynsey obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Tyler.
Lynsey is currently completing the orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS) program through Evidence In Motion (EIM) and is most interested in treating Low back pain.
In her free time, Lynsey enjoys bowling, camping, and spending time with friends and family.

Jennille Zabierek PT, DPT, OCS, COMT

Dr. Jennille Zabierek graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with her Bachelor of Science in biology as well as her Master and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees. She continued her training while practicing, and received her certification in orthopedic manual therapy (COMT) and is a board certified orthopedic specialist (OCS). Dr. Zabierek enjoys treatment all varieties of orthopedic cases and utilizes a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to achieve the highest results.
Dr. Zabierek and her family enjoy the many outdoor activities that Texas brings, including swimming, golfing, and hiking. They are active members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austin, and are blessed to be part of a great community. Dr. Zabierek looks forward to meeting you and helping in your recovery!

Physical TherapistDr. Caroline Champion earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Degree from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire before moving to Texas. Prior to DPT education, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (BS) and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Physical Therapy (BS) from Southern Oregon University. Caroline is a lifelong learner invested in continual improvement of her clinical skills to improve patient outcomes. She is currently completing an orthopedic residency program through Evidence In Motion (EIM) to earn an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), a rigorous certification that promotes proficiency of advanced evaluative and evidence-based interventions.
Caroline is passionate about helping patients achieve their independent physical and functional goals through manual therapy and corrective exercise techniques. She believes physical therapy is a place where patients can learn to enjoy moving again, build community, and above all have fun.
Originally Caroline was born and raised in rural Oregon playing sports, raising animals, and riding horses. In her free time, she loves to be adventuring in nature, watching live music, riding her horse, and participating in fitness ranging from Brazilian jiu jitsu, trail running, and weightlifting.

Physical Therapist AssistantAustin, TX native Nikki Torrez graduated from Westwood High school where her athletic career started as a decorated member of the dance team. After graduating, she transitioned into a role as a group and fitness instructor. Simultaneously, she dedicated 13 years to competing as a higher level CrossFit athlete, demonstrating remarkable perseverance and achieving significant success.
In 2021, Nikki’s journey into the realm of physical therapy began with the attainment of an Associate of Science in Allied Health Science degree from Austin Community College. The decision to pursue a career as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) was driven by a deep-seated passion for helping individuals recover from injuries and improve their quality of life.
After becoming a licensed PTA, Nikki specialized in orthopedics to better address musculoskeletal issues. Her commitment to enhancing her expertise led her to complete an advanced orthopedic specialty course, deepening her understanding of orthopedic conditions, treatment techniques, and rehabilitation strategies. By combining advanced orthopedic knowledge with practical experience, Nikki aims to deliver exceptional care and contribute to the ongoing progress in orthopedic physical therapy.
Outside of her professional life as a Physical Therapy Assistant, she is passionate about spending quality time with her family, which provides her with joy and balance. Nikki stays active through regular fitness routines to reinforce her commitment to an active and healthy lifestyle. Additionally, she enjoys tackling DIY projects, which allow her to channel her creativity and problem-solving skills into rewarding endeavors. These hobbies enrich her life, offering a blend of relaxation, physical well-being, and personal fulfillment that complements her professional work.

Building on this, she decided to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO, further honing her skills and knowledge in physical rehabilitation.
Currently pursuing an orthopedic residency program on track to obtain certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), Lexi combines clinical expertise with a passion for helping patients achieve optimal movement and function. Lexi is committed to continuous learning and professional development, striving to offer the highest standard of care to her patients.
Though originally born in Dallas, Texas, Lexi spent most of her life around the Kansas City area before deciding to move to Austin. In her free time, Lexi enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as any outdoor activity on the water, listening to live music, yoga, and watching sports. As a passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan, Lexi can often be found cheering them on and celebrating their victories.
