Balcones Woods Clinic DirectorDr. Laura Chase earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Louis University and then went on to earn both her master’s and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Saint Louis University. She earned her Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy through the McKenzie Institute USA. She recently completed continuing education in leadership/management through Evidence In Motion (EIM).
Laura has been in practice for over 20 years, treating patients of all ages with orthopedic issues. She enjoys helping others return to full function and meet their goals. Dr. Chase believes in educating patients and allowing them to take control of their care and get back to life.
In her free time, Laura enjoys playing soccer, running, and reading. She and her family enjoy camping and traveling. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband and two children.

Loren Devine PTA

Loren Devine PTA
Loren earned her Physical Therapist Assistant Associate of Applied Science from Austin Community College (ACC). She also has a degree in Foreign Language studies from ACC. In addition, she is currently pursuing a Specialty Certification in Orthopedics from Evidence In Motion (EIM).
Loren is passionate about advocating for a healthy, active lifestyle for people of all ages and has been able to combine her passion for helping others with her enjoyment for the treatment of the geriatric population with orthopedic injuries and surgeries.
When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys running, lifting weights, and spending time with family. She believes caring for others is her calling in life, and believes in empowering patients with education to support long-term independence.

Physical TherapistDr. Keith Nunez earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX and earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of Texas at Austin.
Keith enjoys helping his clients meet their goals and get back to living life on their terms. He believes in empowering his clients through education and that being active can be for everyone, regardless of age or background. Keith also has a special interest in treating running-related injuries.
Keith was born and raised in Houston, TX and moved to Austin in 2022. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, running, playing basketball, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and watching a good TV show or movie.

Lillian Nguyen PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical TherapyDr. Lillian Nguyen earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
Lillian has been treating patients with a variety of orthopedic issues and has a special passion for sports related injuries. She has worked mostly with the military population while in San Antonio. She finds a good mix of both manual therapy and exercise prescription is helpful to getting patients back to moving. Being able to track the progress of patients throughout their rehabilitation is the reason why she became a physical therapist.
In her free time, Lillian enjoys playing pickleball, hiking, lifting weights and traveling to visit the national parks anywhere in the United States. She is also a really big foodie and loves to try out new foods while traveling.

Physical TherapistLawre Hale earned her Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in Math and Spanish. After teaching middle school math for 2 years with Teach for America, she then went on to earn her Master of Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University.
After many years moving around the world with her husband and three children serving the country through the United States Navy, Lawre has recently returned to practicing physical therapy. She enjoys educating clients about their bodies and how to manage and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.
In her free time Lawre enjoys tennis, Bible studies and book clubs. She also enjoys traveling with family to continue to experience new cultures and languages.

Nique enjoys helping her patients achieve their goals, improve their quality of life, and develop a healthy relationship with exercise through physical therapy. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment that promotes overall wellness. She is committed to motivating and challenging her patients, all while fostering enduring relationships.
In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, paddle boarding, and hiking. She also enjoys finding new coffee shops and traveling with her husband.

Kristen Munoz PT, DPT

Physical TherapistDr. Kristen Munoz earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from SUNY New Paltz. Kristen has completed multiple continuing education courses since then, including extensive training in the Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT) method.
Kristen helps her patients gain a sense of autonomy and control over their pain through education, guidance, and providing them the tools to manage their symptoms outside of the clinic. She believes that you can’t go wrong getting strong, and that moving to your body’s full potential is also living to your full human potential.
In her free time, Kristen enjoys exploring the newest food venues in town, lifting weights, laying in the sun at Zilker with her dog, or traveling internationally with her husband.
