Nuevo proyecto de ley de Acceso Directo de Texas, <a href=\"https:\/\/capitol.texas.gov\/BillLookup\/History.aspx?LegSess=86R&amp;Bill=HB29\">HB 29<\/a>, ha sido firmado por el gobernador Greg Abbott y entra en vigencia el 1 de septiembre de 2019, convirtiendo a Texas en el estado n\u00famero 49 en aprobar legislaci\u00f3n de acceso directo.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta ahora, los fisioterapeutas de Texas han podido evaluar pero no tratar a los pacientes sin una orden m\u00e9dica. Esta nueva ley elimina esa barrera, permitiendo a los pacientes evitar los largos tiempos de espera y las costosas e innecesarias visitas a un m\u00e9dico y acudir directamente a un fisioterapeuta (PT) para obtener la atenci\u00f3n que necesitan.<\/p>\n<p>Especialistas en fisioterapia de Texas (TexPTS), con 30 cl\u00ednicas de fisioterapia en todo el estado, saluda la nueva ley como un cambio pendiente desde hace mucho tiempo en la forma en que los pacientes de Texas pueden acceder a la atenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHemos estado trabajando para dar a nuestros pacientes m\u00e1s poder y m\u00e1s opciones en el manejo de su salud durante mucho tiempo, por lo que la comunidad de fisioterapia est\u00e1 encantada de que la legislatura est\u00e9 haciendo lo correcto al hacer que el acceso directo a los fisioterapeutas sea una ley. Sabemos que los pacientes que ven a un fisioterapeuta como primer punto de atenci\u00f3n tendr\u00e1n un 89 por ciento menos de probabilidad de que les receten un opioide en comparaci\u00f3n con aquellos que no ven a un fisioterapeuta temprano o retrasan el tratamiento\u201d, dijo David Browder, director ejecutivo de Especialistas en fisioterapia de Texas.<\/p>\n<p>La nueva ley significa que no habr\u00e1 m\u00e1s largas esperas ni gastos de bolsillo innecesarios en el consultorio de un m\u00e9dico solo para obtener una remisi\u00f3n para ir a un PT que luego diagnosticar\u00e1 y tratar\u00e1 su afecci\u00f3n.
